Privacy Policy

At JGEEE Software LLC, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how JamVote handles information when you use our application.

JamVote is designed with privacy in mind. The only information used by the app includes:

• Display Name: A name you choose when joining a session (not your real name unless you choose to use it)
• Session Data: Temporary voting information and song queue positions
• Device Identifiers: Anonymous session tokens used only during active sessions
• Saved Sessions (Premium only): Song titles and artists from sessions you choose to save

Session data (display names, votes, device identifiers) exists only during your active session and is automatically discarded when the session ends. Premium users who use the Saved Sessions feature can optionally store song lists locally on their device for future reference.

The temporary session data is used exclusively to:

• Enable real-time voting functionality
• Process and display votes from all session participants
• Manage song queue ordering based on votes
• Display advertisements for Free tier users
• Allow Premium users to save song lists from sessions for later use (optional feature)

JamVote operates on a peer-to-peer basis without any backend servers storing your data.

• Session data is transmitted directly between devices on the local network
• No information is sent to external servers (except for ad services for Free tier users)
• All session data is automatically removed when sessions end
• Saved Sessions (Premium feature) are stored locally on your device only and may sync via iCloud if you have iCloud enabled for JamVote

Display names, votes, and session information are temporary and exist only on local devices during active sessions. Once a session ends, this data is permanently deleted.

Saved Sessions (Premium): If you choose to use the Saved Sessions feature, song titles and artists from your sessions are stored locally on your device until you manually delete them. This data contains no personal information—only the names of songs that were played. You can delete saved sessions at any time from within the app.

As a JamVote user, you have the right to:

• Choose not to provide a display name (though one is required to join sessions)
• Leave any session at any time, immediately removing your participation data
• Upgrade to Premium to remove advertisements and associated ad tracking
• Delete any saved sessions from your device at any time (Premium users)
• Request information about data collection practices

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of JamVote after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
